WARNING: GRAPHIC ANIMAL ABUSE.
On the WeChat social community, they share a video clip showing about a Chinese guy who used a baseball bat to attack a dog until the dog died and left it alone.
For the local Chinese animal activists who are trying to get this exposed to the international community, please Share widely. Yes, it is graphic, but exposure of China’s animal cruelty is needed if we are to shame it.
Happened in Weifang, Shandong. Address is May River Road, Street Lights Hostel- Eastgate
Dog looks half-dead according to WeChat. Activists are going to look for it.
China currently has no animal-welfare laws. In 2006, Zhou Ping of the National People’s Congress introduced the first nationwide animal-protection law in China, but it didn’t move forward. In September 2009, the first comprehensive Animal protection law of the People’s Republic of China was introduced, but it hasn’t made any progress.
Chinese activists and animal lovers are yearning and fighting very hard for animal welfare and animal rights. And, they will not stop exposing cruelties till these laws are put in place.
